Zelenski discusses with the Prime Minister of Canada peace formulas for war

MADRID, 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, discussed on Tuesday with the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, peace formulas to end the war, which began on February 24, 2022, after the mandate of the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky has indicated that the conversation between the two leaders has focused on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities "in the face of threats and risks of escalation on the front."

Likewise, the Ukrainian president has expressed, through a call with Trudeau, his "gratitude for Canada's strong support for Ukraine", as he explained in a message on his profile on the social network Twitter.

For his part, the Canadian 'premier' has "made it clear" to Zelensky that his country's support "for Ukraine and the Ukrainians remains firm." "I let him know that we will make sure they have what they need for the winter, and for as long as it takes," he added, reiterating Canada's commitment.

"We will provide humanitarian, military, financial and other assistance to the Government and people of Ukraine to safeguard their free, democratic and secure future," he said.

Trudeau has praised the "continuous efforts of President Zelenski towards this end, including his peace initiative", while recalling that his hope is that 203 "brings a just and sustainable peace to the people of Ukraine".
