The former UFC fighter who rents the house to Bolsonaro in the US: "It's just business"

MADRID, 20 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Former UFC mixed martial arts fighter José Aldo has assured that the only reason why former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro is staying at his mansion in Orlando, Florida, is due to a business matter. "I'm not thinking left or right", he has settled.

"There are people who think very little and have no business vision," Aldo said to criticize those who have attacked him for welcoming Bolsonaro, who has been in the United States since December 30, thus avoiding having to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

"Everyone on the opposite side has attacked me, but my play has nothing to do with it (...) I saw the business, I'm not thinking of left or right, I'm thinking of business, which is what the house is ", said Aldo, who rents the mansion for 2,600 reais a day (about 460 euros), according to Brazilian media.

The house where Bolsonaro resides, one of the two that the now boxer has in the United States, has Disney-themed rooms. In one of them he plans to place a plaque that reads "the president of Brazil was here." "Everyone will want to see it, whether from the left or the right," he has revealed.

Aldo's statements limiting his agreement with Bolsonaro to strictly economic matters contrast with the public support he has shown him in recent years, sharing photos on social networks and even participating in an act during the campaign for the last elections in Sao Paulo.

On that occasion, Aldo, along with other fighters such as Maurício Rua and Fabrício Werdum, laughed at the jokes of a Bolsonaro who assured that President Lula had refused to debate with him over an alleged problem of "sexual impotence."
