The judge asks to extend the investigation for six months for the alleged cover-up of the abuse of Oltra's ex-husband

Appointment to testify as a witness to the victim

VALENCIA, Oct. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Court of Instruction number 15 of Valencia - which deals with the case for the alleged cover-up of the abuse of a minor under guardianship by an educator, ex-husband of the former vice president of the Generalitat, Mónica Oltra - asks to extend the performances six more months.

It does so by "confirming that it will not be possible to complete the judicial investigation" within the maximum period contemplated in the Law of Criminal Procedure and, therefore, it gives both the Public Prosecutor and the parties in person a period of three days to pronounce on the matter.

This is how it appears in a ruling issued this Friday, and consulted by Europa Press, in which, in addition, the judge decides to listen to new witnesses, specifically the young victim of abuse, her boyfriend and parents.

It also orders the presence of the former Oltra chief of staff, Miquel Real, - current advisor for general affairs to the current Minister of Equality, Aitana Mas, who succeeded the former vice president after her resignation -. It should be remembered that the instructor agreed in September to cite Real as investigated, and the former Undersecretary until April 2019 of Equality, Francesc Gamero, within the framework of the proceedings.

After the resignation of Mónica Oltra to all her positions as a result of her accusation, her formation, Compromís, has always left the door open to recover her.

The deputy in Congress, Joan Baldoví, who is going to present himself in the primaries to be a candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, sees the return of the Valencian government spokesperson as feasible if his organization manages to continue governing in that community after the elections next May.

He did remember, however, in recent demonstrations that Oltra's political future will depend on how his judicial journey ends and he recognized that, given the slow pace of Justice, it did not seem plausible that the case would be closed in the short term. Now, the judge requests an extension of the investigation.
