Anti-corruption archives the investigation into the granting of European funds to the company of Calviño's husband

MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has agreed to file the investigation into the alleged irregularities in the granting of European funds to Beedigital, a company that would be linked to the husband of the First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, due to the "absence of clues."

It was last Friday when the chief prosecutor, Alejandro Luzón, issued a decree by which he filed the investigation proceedings on 'Páginas Amarillas Soluciones Digitales SA', now known as 'Beedigital', of which the husband of the vice president would be director of marketing at the time of receiving the aid.

According to Anticorruption, "there is no direct or indirect intervention of the vice president in the contract signed by PASD/BeeDigital with the GISS, in the granting of guarantees by the ICO and in the so-called Digital Kit."

The Public Prosecutor's Office began to investigate last April as a result of the complaint presented by the Popular Parliamentary Group in the Madrid Assembly for the alleged irregularities in the emergency contracts approved by the Executive led by Pedro Sánchez.

In this specific case, the 'popular' explained that the award of the contract "was carried out when the company had debts with the State worth 1.6 million" and that when the contract was extended in 2020 the debt amounted to 884,000 euros .
