Vox calls for the suspension of the 'Ospa Eguna' scheduled for Alsasua (Navarre) on September 3rd

MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Vox has sent a letter to the Government Delegation in Pamplona in which it requests the suspension of the act known as 'Ospa Eguna' in Alsasua (Navarra), which is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, "in order to protect to the victims of ETA".

Thus, remember that the objective of the act is "to show rejection of the Police and the Civil Guard." The Vox National Legal Vice-Secretariat, under the direction of Marta Castro, warns that this message, in addition to rejecting the presence of the Civil Guard and Police, "spreads the idea that its members are not worthy of respect and authority."

In addition, he continues, "in an absolutely false way, he propagates that they are the cause of a repression of the workers to create in the imagination of his followers the evil of the members of these bodies and thereby spread the rejection of them."

In addition, Castro bases in his brief that the purpose of this act is "constituting a crime of glorification of terrorism, in accordance with article 578 of the Penal Code (CP), and a hate crime, article 510 of the CP".

In this sense, the act, recalls Vox, "must be suspended by the Government Subdelegation in accordance with the Law of Recognition and Comprehensive Protection of Victims of Terrorism, which establishes that the State assumes the defense of the dignity of the victims" .

"The Public Administrations, in the exercise of their powers, will adopt the necessary measures to comply with this prohibition, and will prevent and avoid the performance of acts carried out in public that involve discredit, contempt or humiliation of the victims or their families, exaltation of terrorism, tribute or public award of distinctions to terrorists", they add from Vox. "In addition, the Government delegates in the autonomous communities will ensure compliance with the obligation established in the previous sections," they conclude.
