The Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) has signed this Saturday his second stage victory in the eighth day of the Tour de France, 186.3 kilometers between Dole and Lausanne, after beating the Slovenian leader Tadej Pogacar (UAE) in the sprint Team Emirates), who finished third and extends his advantage at the head of the yellow jersey thanks to the four bonus seconds.
On a day marked by the initial riders, including the general leader, the course of the stage changed with hardly any cyclists in the breakaway and victory was decided at the Côte du Stade Olympique de Lausanne. Van Aert demonstrated his solvency, which he exhibits with the green jersey of points, by being the strongest on the Lausanne wall.
