SANTANDER, 31 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, announced this Wednesday in Santander that the Government will launch calls to mobilize more than 700 million euros in September to promote the deployment of the Naval Perte and the Agri-Food Industry Support Perte.

Maroto has made the institutional opening of the 36th Meeting of the Digital Economy and Telecommunications of Ametic with a speech in which he has recalled some of the latest actions to support the industry, such as the publication of the bases of the Activa Growth, Activa Industry and Active Cybersecurity, which have a planned investment of 57 million euros to support more than 10,000 SMEs.

In previous statements to the press, the minister has defended that the Ministry has already authorized the disbursement of more than two thirds of the 7,000 million euros that correspond to its Department of European funds.

Thus, he has branded doubts about the ability to execute the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan as "interested noise" and has accused the PP of "boycotting" the deployment of funds.

"We are indeed on the right track. It is the year where we are clearly going to pick up that cruising speed", the minister assured in these statements.

In his institutional speech, he has emphasized that reindustrialization is one of the Government's economic priorities, as well as the Government's commitment to ecological transition.

Maroto also met Samsung's global CEO, Jong-Hee Han, present at the event, and in his speech he gave a nod to the South Korean firm and the possibility that it could contribute to increasing strategic and European autonomy through investments in semiconductors. Likewise, he has also highlighted the collaboration of the company and the Government in cybersecurity.
