The deputy of the PP Valentina Martínez has been chosen as a representative before the Venice Commission by the Political Affairs Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, of which she is vice-president, as reported by the 'popular' in a statement.

Martínez, who has prevailed against the socialist and liberal candidates, has also been appointed to prepare the Council of Europe report on Russian interference in European democracies.

The Venice Commission is in charge of providing legal advice to its member states and, in particular, helping states that wish to adapt their legal and institutional structures to European standards and international experience in the fields of democracy, Human Rights and the rule of law.
