Susana Díaz urges "whoever it is" to prevent Griñán's entry into prison "for humanitarian and justice reasons"

SEVILLA, 30 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The former president of the Junta de Andalucía Susana Díaz (PSOE-A) has urged this Friday that, "by the penitentiary institutions and whoever corresponds", measures be put "as soon as possible" to prevent her predecessor at the helm of the Government Andalusian, the also socialist José Antonio Griñán, enters prison to serve his sentence for the so-called 'political piece' of the case of the fraudulent employment regulation files (ERE), relying on "humanitarian and justice reasons".

This has been transferred by the ex-general secretary of the Andalusian PSOE in some statements in the Cuatro Televisión program in which she collaborates periodically, collected by Europa Press and a few days before the expiration, on January 2, of the period of voluntary admission to prison given by the Provincial Court of Seville to the former president of the Board, sentenced to six years and two days in jail for a crime of embezzlement.

Sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA) have explained to Europa Press that the Seville Court will continue this Friday, the last working day of the year, awaiting the receipt of the report issued by a coroner from the Institute of Legal Medicine on the serious illness alleged last week by former president José Antonio Griñán to suspend his imprisonment.

In this regard, Susana Díaz has indicated that "in recent times" she has spoken "a lot" with her predecessor as president of the Board and general secretary of the PSOE-A, although "not in the last few hours", and in any case she has underlined that it seems to him "an ordeal what this man is going through unfairly".

"I trust and hope that, on the part of the penitentiary institutions and whoever it may be, justice will be brought to justice in this matter as soon as possible", Susana Díaz expressed before adding that "there are sufficient instruments to prevent a person who has been shown not to He hasn't even taken a penny" to go to prison.

Taking into account that Griñán also has a sentence of absolute disqualification for a period of 15 years and two days for a continued crime of prevarication, the current socialist senator by designation of the Andalusian Parliament has added that "we have not questioned at any time the prevarication by omission, to monitor or not to monitor, but what we have questioned is the same as the magistrates of the Supreme Court, embezzlement, which is what makes the former president of the Board go to prison.

Susana Díaz concluded by calling for Griñán's request for the suspension of his imprisonment "to be taken into account" "for humanitarian reasons and justice and law", and asserting that "the ordeal to which Pepe has been subjected Griñán more than a decade is not fair nor is he human".
