Feijóo opens the doors of the PP to leaders, militants and voters of Cs to "unite the center-right" against Sánchez

MADRID, 9 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has assured this Monday that, although he wants to be "respectful" with the decisions that Ciudadanos make in the coming days within his internal process, he has stressed that at this moment it is necessary to "unite the center-right" in Spain to form a "real alternative" to the Government of Pedro Sánchez. As he has said, it is about looking for a "better" Executive than the current one and that is why "Ciudadanos leaders, militants and voters are summoned."

In an interview on the Cope network, which has been collected by Europa Press, Feijóo has stated that there are "many Ciudadanos voters who, if there were elections, would vote for the Popular Party" and added that the leaders of that formation have "open doors" in case that "it interests them" and "fits" the Popular Party.

"We are going to see what happens in the Citizens' assembly and be respectful of the decisions of that party," he declared, to insist that the Popular Party seeks to "widen" the formation with people with "talent" and "management experience" .

In addition, the head of the opposition has indicated that he is also going to "ask Vox voters for a vote" because it is "fundamental" to make a "better government in Spain. With a unified center-right we would undoubtedly have an absolute majority," he added. .

Before the elections on May 28, Feijóo has been convinced that the PP is "in a position to win in any autonomous community" and, using a soccer simile, has indicated that at this moment the ball can "go in or out" once it hits the post.

"We are optimistic that the PP will not only maintain its two governments, Murcia and Madrid, but that it will increase other Communities in the polls and we will recover several provincial capitals. We are going to be prudent but I do not hide the moderate optimism that the PP is experiencing in the face of to the regional elections in May", he stated.
