ATA sees the unemployment data as positive, but the slowdown in the number of new self-employed stands out

MADRID, 2 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The National Federation of Self-Employed Workers (ATA) has highlighted that the unemployment data for May is positive, although it has warned of a "very important slowdown" in the number of new self-employed.

In addition, the president of ATA, Lorenzo Amor, has described as "a miracle" that this path of growth continues, despite the situation that a large part of the companies and freelancers are currently experiencing. "The economic circumstances that surround our country, like the rest of the European countries, mean that we have to qualify these data as very positive," Amor pointed out.

However, Amor has highlighted that "not everything is positive" and believes that the socioeconomic climate is affecting the self-employed more. Thus, from ATA they have verified a "very important slowdown" in the creation of employment in this group. "There has been a slowdown in the group in recent months," Amor lamented.
