Anti-corruption opposes suspending the sentence and supports Griñán's imprisonment for the 'ERE case'

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has responded to the Provincial Court of Seville that opposes suspending the prison sentence of former Andalusian President José Antonio Griñán, thus endorsing his imprisonment for the 'ERE case', according to tax sources reported to Europa Press.

The Seville Court had asked the Public Prosecutor and the personal accusations to rule on whether or not to suspend the prison sentence for Griñán and eight other former senior officials of the Andalusian Government while the proposed pardons are processed.

The Supreme Court confirmed last July Griñán's sentence for the irregular use of regional subsidies for Employment Regulation Files (ERE) to 6 years in prison for crimes of prevarication and embezzlement, which placed him one step away from income in prison
