We can ugly Yolanda Díaz to say now that it would not be a failure if the purple formation is not in Sumar

MADRID, 3 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Podemos has been concerned that the second vice president Yolanda Díaz does not bet "absolutely" on unity after she has stated that "at all" it would be a failure if the purple formation was not in Sumar.

This was stated at a press conference by the co-spokesman for Podemos, Pablo Fernández, who has asserted that his party has unity as its "inescapable objective", which is "essential" to revalidate the coalition government.

"We are concerned that Yolanda is not strongly committed to unity," Fernández highlighted after the Labor Minister assured in an interview on RNE that "it would not be a failure at all" that Podemos and Sumar did not reach an agreement and that "Sumar is going to be the revulsive of Spanish politics."

The purple formation has reiterated that Díaz must decide if she wants to be "the unity candidate" or if she prefers to run in the elections "just by adding" and without reaching an electoral agreement with Podemos.

"The will of Podemos is unquestionable (...) I think we should all be clear that not going to the elections together would be bad news, bad news, a failure," Fernández declared.

The statements by the spokesman for Podemos take place a day after Yolanda Díaz officially announced that she will present herself as a candidate for the Presidency of the Government in the next elections in an act that was not attended by the leadership of Podemos, who accuses Sumar of not wanting to sign a written agreement to hold open primaries.
