Vox rejects the offer to occupy the Presidency of the Assembly of Extremadura in exchange for not entering the Government

The president of the PP of Extremadura, María Guardiola, has offered this Monday to Vox to hold the president of the Assembly of Extremadura, which is constituted this Tuesday, June 20, in exchange for "freedom for the preparation of the government" of the Junta de Estremadura.

A proposal that Guardiola has delivered to the representatives of Vox in the second meeting that they have held this Tuesday in Mérida, and that the formation led in Extremadura by Ángel Pelayo Gordillo has rejected, according to PP sources.

During the meeting, the leader of the PP from Extremadura has offered an "agreement for governability and political change in Extremadura", made up of 15 points, and that Vox has not accepted, which, in the opinion of the PP from Extremadura "means preventing a government of change" for which they trust that "the interests of Extremadura will be put before the term that we still have until the constitution of Parliament" this Tuesday.

The PP of Extremadura points out that "it does not consider the negotiation closed", and remains "waiting for Vox to reconsider its position thinking about the mandate of the people of Extremadura for a change to take place in the region", they point out.

In this sense, the president of the PP of Extremadura, María Guardiola, has indicated that she hopes that Vox "accepts" these measures, which "have the sole purpose of the progress and prosperity of Extremadura, and that they would make possible the change that the people of Extremadura have asked at the polls".

In the agreement proposed by the leader of the PP of Extremadura to Vox, collected by Europa Press, it is advocated "guaranteeing the change that the people of Extremadura have requested through the polls, with generosity, mutual loyalty", as well as a programmatic agreement that "allow Extremadura to grow and evolve in all areas".

It also advocates "providing the region with a stable and efficient government" that sets as its main objective "fighting unemployment, poverty, the lack of opportunities and depopulation", adopting the "necessary economic and social measures that get Extremadura out of the inertia of recent years".

For this, the PP undertakes to "vote for the candidate presented by Vox for the Presidency of the Assembly of Extremadura", in the constituent session of this Tuesday, June 20, while one of the vice-presidencies and one of the secretariats of the Chamber, "the candidate that the PP presents to each of them" would be voted on and Vox would renounce to present a candidacy for these positions.

The proposal also establishes "to support the candidacy of the president of the PP of Extremadura, María Guardiola", for the Presidency of the Junta de Extremadura, in the investiture debate in the Assembly, "thus guaranteeing the government of change" for the region.

The PP also includes in its proposal that the president of the PP of Extremadura "will hold freedom to make the government of the Junta de Extremadura", although she must "submit to periodic monitoring of compliance with the commitments that the parties assume by means of this agreement". .

It also establishes the need to "seek consensus and unity around the common pillars of the programs of both formations to materialize the 15 points" that Guardiola points out in his letter, and that "they have, as their sole purpose, to improve life of families and promote the economic and social development of the region, and have become, since the signing of this document, the priority roadmap for political action in Extremadura".

TAX REDUCE, THE FIRST OF THE 15 MEASURES

Thus, the first of the 15 measures proposed by Guardiola to Vox is a "comprehensive tax reduction", through a Law of fiscal measures that will be presented in the first 100 days of government aimed at lowering taxes and attracting people and companies.

Specifically, the measure includes a reduction in personal income tax, the Property Transfer Tax and the Registration Tax, and the suppression of 100 percent of the Wealth Tax and the elimination of the Inheritance and Gift Tax "for the majority of taxpayers" .

In the agricultural sector, the PP advocates requesting a review of the eco-regimes and the green policies of the CAP "to avoid production losses and the extra cost suffered by farmers and ranchers from Extremadura", and the approval of measures against drought that include bonuses and actions that mitigate the consequences of lack of water.

In terms of infrastructure, Guardiola undertakes to present a "demanding and vindictive" investment and infrastructure plan to the Government of Spain within the first 100 days of the legislature, with commitments in terms of execution of the AVE, highways and the rest of the promised infrastructure For the state.

It also includes the implementation of a Pact for decent Health for all Extremadurans, and the development of a Strategic Plan to combat waiting lists, and the approval of a new framework for Primary Care, among other measures.

It also advocates for a Pact for "quality, free and ideological bias-free" Education, and will work to promote birth rates and support families, for which it will register a Regional Birth Plan for Extremadura in the Assembly, which will include "important tax measures", acting above all in personal income tax, among others.

The measures proposed by the PP advocate a "stop on depopulation and the march of young people, through tax benefits or bonuses for hiring the best university and FP records.

The protection of industrial assets and infrastructures "that are being threatened for ideological reasons", is another of the points proposed by María Guardiola to Vox, in which she proposes to claim "the maintenance of vital infrastructures for the economy, services and the viability " of towns, such as the Valdecaballeros dam or the Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant.

The PP also proposes promoting a new Extremadura law "that serves reconciliation and real concord, and that repeals the Law of Historical and Democratic Memory of Extremadura approved in 2018",

To help SMEs, the approval of a 'zero rate' for all new Extremaduran self-employed beneficiaries of the state flat rate is progressing, and the creation of an "administrative highway" to centralize all efforts.

The approval of an Industrial Plan for Extremadura 2023-2027, the efficiency of spending in the Administration, for which it is contemplated to "eliminate superfluous spending and duplication in the Administration" are other measures included in this PP proposal.

In addition, and in terms of the "environmental barriers that prevent the development of Extremadura", the PP proposes to Vox to review the prohibitions and limitations of the Natura 2000 Network "that are driving away and preventing the development of companies and the installation of new industrial projects .

Finally, the defense of the rural world, the traditions and identity of Extremadura, which contemplates hunting or bullfighting, or the implementation of a new forest policy that allows traditional uses and activities in the mountains, are the last points of the measures proposals by the PP of Extremadura to Vox to reach a governance agreement.
