Victoria Abril, "calm" in the face of accusations of sexual assault

Actress Victoria Abril, who has been accused by French actress Lucie Lucas of sexual assault, is "very calm" and is on vacation after finishing a project in France, sources close to the Spanish interpreter tell Europa Press.

"Victoria has finished a wonderful tour of France, a function that has made it a hit and she has gone on vacation. All of this, if there is anything real, which I doubt, let her do it in court," commented the sources consulted.

The French actress Lucie Lucas has accused Victoria Abril of "sexual assault" on other actors, in response to the support that the Spanish interpreter has shown towards Gerard Depardieu in a manifesto signed by different personalities.

Victoria Abril, according to close sources, is aware of the situation with Lucie Lucas, although she prefers not to comment further on it.

The French actress has questioned Abril in a comment on Instagram to talk about her "numerous attacks, including sexual ones", on her "colleagues". "Now that I think about it, I'm not surprised that you signed that newspaper. You're also freaking out and, now that I think about it, you're right. Enough of the nonsense," she remarked.

Lucas has spoken out after a manifesto was published last Tuesday in the French newspaper 'Le Figaro' in which more than fifty artists, including Abril herself and Carla Bruni, have shown their support for Depardieu - to his accused of several sexual assaults - due to the "torrent of hatred" generated towards him. The president of France, Emmanuele Macron, also publicly supported the actor in a recent intervention.
