The RFEF denounces to the Civil Guard the "extraction of VAR material" from Real Madrid-Almería

MADRID, 23 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has filed a complaint this Tuesday with the Civil Guard for the publication of the VAR audios of the LaLiga EA Sports match on Sunday between Real Madrid and UD Almería at the Santiago Bernabéu, a fact which he describes as "extremely serious" and for which he will try to "clarify responsibilities."

"This Tuesday, the RFEF has presented a complaint to the Civil Guard after the publication of some audios from the VAR system, of a totally professional and private scope, corresponding to the match between Real Madrid CF and UD Almería of the First Division National Championship" , he said in a statement.

The federative body published after the match, which ended with a comeback and victory for Carlo Ancelotti's team in stoppage time (3-2), several audios related to the goals and a goal disallowed for Almería due to a previous foul.

However, journalist Gerard Romero's outlet 'Jijantes' brought to light an extract that the RFEF had not published, related to a possible attack by Vinícius on Pozo; In it, the match's field referee, Hernández Maeso, and the VOR room referee, Hernández Hernández, talk about the play, which was resolved without a penalty.

The RFEF also announced that it is keeping an internal investigation open into the event. "It is extremely serious that this audiovisual material has been extracted and -the RFEF- hopes that a response will be found as soon as possible to clarify responsibilities. In addition, the necessary measures will be adopted to guarantee the security of all communications," he stressed.
