"Today two men with weapons who intended to attack me were captured. They have already declared that they are part of the far-right fascist Vente Venezuela party. They are convicted and confessed," he declared during a political event.

For his part, the Venezuelan attorney general, Tarek Willian Saab, has indicated that during the development of the rally, two subjects identified as Jerry Ostos Perdomo and Carlos Castillo were detained, who were just 20 meters from the presidential platform in front of the supporters. As part of the ongoing investigation, several searches are being carried out and in the next few hours they will be presented to the control court for the crimes of terrorism, association, attempted assassination, instigation of hatred and illicit possession of a weapon. fire in prohibited places.

Vente Venezuela has "categorically rejected the accusations" made publicly by Maduro about the alleged participation that seeks to involve two alleged "members of his organization" in an attack against him, since they "do not know and repudiate" the identity and connection of these people. with political formation.

"This unfounded accusation clearly constitutes a new attack undertaken by the regime to justify more persecution and arrests against those of us who have assumed the right to demand the democratic changes that the majority of citizens are asking for in the country today," they noted.

Likewise, the opposition party has ratified its "commitment, with transparency and republican spirit, to create the citizen and democratic electoral force capable of achieving victory within the route that the regime itself closes today."
