The South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics expects to register an operating profit of 600,000 million won (422 million euros) in the second quarter of 2023, which represents a decline of 95.7% compared to its result for the same period of 2022, As the company has advanced, it will publish its quarterly accounts at the end of the month.
Likewise, the manufacturer from Suwon is confident that its sales will reach 60 billion won (42,220 million euros) between April and June, a figure that represents a decline of 22.3% in relation to the income of the multinational in the same period last year.
Compared to its results for the first quarter of 2023, Samsung's estimated operating profit for the months of April to June would represent a decline of 6.2% compared to the 640,000 million won (450 million euros) reached between January and March .
Regarding sales forecast for the second quarter of 2023, the estimated figure would represent a quarterly decline of 5.9% compared to the 63.75 trillion won (44.860 million euros) entered in the first quarter of the year.
Samsung shares closed the session on the Seoul Stock Exchange with a fall of 2.37%.
