OHLA, through its American subsidiary Judlau Contracting, has been awarded a new contract in Illinois (United States) for a value close to 305.7 million euros (323.8 million dollars), as reported this Thursday in a statement.

With this new contract, the company has highlighted that it reinforces its portfolio of projects in the United States by nearly 835 million, by adding this award to the recently announced one in New York, with which it will undertake improvements in the city's subway, specifically , in a total of 13 stations.

Additionally, with this new contract there are now 21 projects that the company has carried out for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (Istha) since it began its activity in the Midwest of the United States in 2014.

The scope of the Illinois contract, located on the southbound Tri-State Tollway (I-294), specifically at the I-290/I-88 interchange, includes demolition and excavation work, the construction of 13 new steel girder and precast concrete bridges, and the removal of pavement and placement of new concrete for about 4 kilometers of southbound road and shoulder.

Likewise, the removal and replacement of nearly 17,100 square meters of new noise attenuation wall and the construction of nearly 17,000 square meters of retaining wall will be carried out.
