ZARAGOZA, 23 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Plenary of the Parliament of Aragon has elected this Friday, June 23, the deputy of VOX Marta Fernández Martín as president of Parliament in the XI Legislature, having obtained the support of the 35 deputies of PP and VOX and with 32 votes blank, from the rest of the parties.

The president of the Age Table, José Pedro Sierra, has proclaimed the result, after the 67 deputies voted with ballots with the name of the candidate or blank and depositing their vote in a ballot box located in the Presidency area.

Only the VOX parliamentary group has presented a candidate, after the agreement reached in the last hours by this formation with the Popular Party.

The extraordinary plenary session for the constitution of the Cortes has begun, as scheduled, at 11:00 a.m., and the 67 deputies have sworn or promised, on the Constitution and the Statute of Autonomy, to abide by both laws and exercise their position in defense of the Aragonese interests.
