Israel says Hamas "no longer controls" Gaza City

MADRID, 13 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, assured this Monday that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) "no longer controls" Gaza City as a result of the Israeli military offensive.

"There is no Hamas force capable of stopping the Israel Defense Forces. The IDF is advancing on all fronts. Hamas has lost control of Gaza. Terrorists are fleeing south. Civilians are looting Gaza bases. Hamas. They no longer trust the government," Gallant stated, according to the newspaper 'The Times of Israel'.

Israeli forces, in contrast, are advancing "as planned and carrying out missions in a precise and lethal manner." Thus, Israeli forces "have identified" their activity against Hamas tunnels in recent days.

"We work with objectives. We do not have a stopwatch. We have objectives. We are going to achieve our objectives," he added in reference to the statements of the Israeli Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, who pointed out this Monday that international pressure could force Israel to adapt its strategy in Gaza.
