Heat, rain and waves will activate the warnings this Friday in 24 Spanish provinces on a day marked by significantly high temperatures in the southeastern and northeastern thirds of the Peninsula, Mallorca and the Canary Islands, as well as by intervals of strong winds on the northwest coast of Galicia, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Specifically, due to the high temperatures, the provinces of Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Málaga, Huesca, Teruel, Mallorca, Burgos, Albacete, Cuenca, Barcelona, ​​Gerona, Lérida, Murcia, Álava, Alicante, Valencia and Gran Canaria, which will amount to an important notice in Zaragoza, Navarra, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya and La Rioja.

In this way, temperatures will reach 39ºC in Zaragoza, Navarra and La Rioja, while Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Huesca, Albacete, Murcia, Álava, Valencia and Alicante will reach 38ºC. In addition, the waves and the rains will activate the warnings in A Coruña.

This Friday, the entrance of an Atlantic front through the extreme northwest of the peninsula will leave cloudy skies in Galicia, with more abundant rains in the northwest and in the second half of the day. In addition, there will be cloudy intervals in the rest of the northwestern third of the peninsula, especially medium and high clouds.

There will also be cloudy intervals in the northern half of the Mediterranean area and the Balearic Islands, with the possibility of some weak and isolated showers or storms in the Pyrenees, Catalonia and the south of the Iberian system. In the rest of the Peninsula, it will be slightly cloudy with intervals of high clouds. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals are expected in the north of the islands and slightly cloudy or clear in the south.

Temperatures will rise in the Cantabrian area, the eastern end of the peninsula and the Canary Islands, and it will be notable in the eastern Cantabrian, with few changes in the rest of the country.

There will be winds from the southwest, especially in the central hours of the day, on the peninsular Atlantic slope, with strong intervals on the northwest coast of Galicia. It will blow from the west on the Andalusian coast, from the east or southeast in Aragon and Catalonia, and moderately from the northeast in the Canary Islands, being variable loose in the rest.
