MADRID, 16 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Bruc has closed a green loan for an amount of 570 million euros with the financial entities Santander, ING, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Sabadell, BBVA and Unicaja, which will allow the company to build 842 megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generation plants (MW) in total.

Last year, Bruc signed a financing agreement with seven entities for an amount of 600 million euros. This amount, now together with the new financing of 570 million euros, "guarantees a substantial part of the contributions necessary for the investment in the construction and start-up of a portfolio of solar photovoltaic and wind generation plants in Spain," he said. the company highlighted in a statement.

The plants whose construction will be partially financed by this new green loan are located in the provinces of Seville, Málaga, Cádiz and Soria and will generate 1,400 jobs during the construction phase.

Once they come into operation, expected throughout 2024 and 2025, they will generate energy equivalent to the consumption of 421,000 homes and will avoid the emission of 33,680,000 tons of CO2.

Bruc currently has 1,100 MW in operation. At the end of the year it will add another 2,000 MW in the construction phase. Its total portfolio amounts to 8,500 MW, of which 8,400 are in the Iberian Peninsula and 100 MW in Japan.

The company has specified that Banco Santander has acted as financial advisor, 'hedge coordinator' and 'green loan coordinator', while ING, BNP Paribas, and Crédit Agricole CIB have acted as 'bookrunners' and together with Sabadell, BBVA and Unicaja close the group of 'MLAs and hedge providers'.
