The company will use the capital injection to consolidate its platform in Spain and accelerate its expansion in Latin America

MADRID, 15 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Bit2Me cryptocurrency company --registered in the Bank of Spain and owned by Inveready-- has closed an investment round of 14 million euros led by Investcorp and in which Telefónica Ventures, the vehicle of the Spanish operator to invest in 'technological startups', and Cardano (through Adaverse), as reported by the company in a statement.

Stratminds VC, a venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley (United States) and the YGG fund and its CEO Gabby Dizon have also participated in this round of investment.

"This round closes during a 'crypto winter', where investors are looking for stable, mature companies with a good market position," Bit2Me has assessed.

This investment of 14 million euros will allow the company to "reach the next phase of its mission", that is, the "global adoption of cryptocurrencies", and will allocate it to consolidate itself as a cryptocurrency exchange platform in Spain and to "accelerate its expansion throughout Latin America.

The co-founder and CEO of Bit2Me, Leif Ferreira, has highlighted that the company has been working on improving the platform for more than two years to "achieve the highest levels of quality and product portfolio" and has stressed that these 14 million euros of financing will be a "boost" to get new customers.

"With Investcorp we have an international partner with a lot of financial muscle and with Telefónica a channel to boost us in Latin America," he added.
