Abascal blames Sánchez for the attempted sexual assault of a beneficiary for the 'Yes is yes' and demands that he resign

MADRID, 25 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has blamed the president, Pedro Sánchez, directly responsible this Friday for the attempted sexual assault of a beneficiary for the reduction of his sentence thanks to the "Only yes is yes" Law, for which he has demanded his resignation.

The attempted sexual assault occurred last Monday and the Police arrested M.R.C. for these events on Wednesday. According to sources from the investigation to Europa Press, this is a recidivist man who benefited from the "only yes is yes" law, leaving prison in April, two months before the date originally scheduled to liquidate his sentence, the June 20th.

The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 4 of Dos Hermanas (Seville), on duty, has ordered his entry into provisional prison this Friday. Initially, an alleged crime of attempted sexual assault is attributed to him, according to sources from the TSJA.

"Pedro Sánchez is directly responsible for the attack on this woman," Abascal pointed out through a message posted on the social network X, formerly Twitter, where he stressed that "it is not enough to ask for forgiveness."

"An ally of those who commit crimes against women, such as Pedro Sánchez, has to resign and go to court," he added, before predicting that "there will be more victims." "And Pedro Sánchez will continue to be responsible", he has settled.

The party's spokesperson in Congress, Pepa Millán, has also ruled on the matter, assuring that the reduction in sentences brought about by the law "are not unwanted effects", as the government described them, but rather "the real danger to which this government has subjected women".

"It is not enough to ask for forgiveness", has agreed with Abascal. "Sánchez and all those who supported her have to answer to the Spanish for being responsible for this happening," she stressed on the aforementioned social network.

Vox's vice president for Political Action, Jorge Buxadé, and the party's general secretary, Ignacio Garriga, have expressed themselves along the same lines. The latter also stressed that "it was a matter of time before it passed." "The purple pack of Sánchez, (Irene) Montero and her henchmen is the worst thing that has happened to Spanish women in decades," he added.
