Zelensky meets Duda in Poland during his return trip to Ukraine after visiting the US

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, met this Thursday with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, on his return trip to the country after visiting the United States, where he held a meeting with the President, Joe Biden, and addressed the Congress.

"On my way home I met a friend from Ukraine, the Polish president, Andrzej Duda. We have reviewed the events of this year, which have brought historical challenges due to the war," Zelensky asserted, indicating that they have also brought discussed plans for the future.

Both have met in the Polish city of Rzeszow, in the south of the country and close to the border with Ukraine. Thus, Zelensky has thanked Duda for his support during the Russian invasion of the territory, as indicated by the Ukrainian Presidency in a statement.

The two presidents have stressed the importance of "strengthening Ukraine's defense capacity" and dealing with humanitarian problems, "especially the strong migratory flow led by those who have been forced to flee the war."
