Ukraine denounces the destruction of almost all electrical installations in Lviv

MADRID, 14 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Ukrainian authorities have denounced this Tuesday that most of the electrical substations in the city of Lviv, near the border with Poland, have been destroyed due to the bombardments of the Russian Army during the invasion.

The mayor of the city, Andrei Sadovyi, has regretted that many of the damaged areas cannot be restored, as he explained in statements to the RBC Ukraine news agency.

"There is a lot of destruction in each of the cities and regions. Generally, it is about vital infrastructure. Each of these objectives are state-owned and some are still in operation, but the vast majority, unfortunately, cannot be restored, so we will have to build it all over again", he explained.

In this sense, he has expressed that it is about electrical installations and has asserted that the electricity supply continues to be a big problem. "We need smart solutions," she pointed out.

On February 10, Russian forces shelled the town again. In the Zolochiv district, a shell landed just four meters from a bus stop, and again, the surrounding infrastructure was severely affected.
