Putin and Lukashenko will meet this Friday in Moscow

MADRID, 16 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, respectively, will meet this Friday at a residence of the Russian president on the outskirts of Moscow.

The Kremlin spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, has indicated that the meeting will take place in the suburban residence of Novo Ogaryovo, which in recent years has become the 'de facto' residence of the president, who spends less and less time in the Grand Kremlin Palace.

"I can confirm that yes, that they will see each other tomorrow and that it will be a detailed conversation," Peskov asserted, according to information collected by the Interfax news agency.

Shortly before, Lukashenko himself has informed the Belarusian media that he will hold a meeting on February 17 with Putin. Earlier this week, Peskov confirmed the possibility of the meeting taking place.

The two met for the last time on December 27 in the city of Saint Petersburg. On February 6, Peskov announced that the two leaders had decided to meet again two months later.
