At least ten dead in a terrorist attack against a hotel in the capital of Somalia

At least ten people have died this Sunday when armed attackers have stormed a hotel near the presidential palace in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Among the victims are two people with dual Somali and British nationality, Mohamed Dahir, a Somali Police officer, told the DPA agency.

The terrorist organization Al Shabaab claimed this Sunday an attack launched against a hotel in the country's capital, a building that was still under siege late on Sunday.

Security sources confirmed to the Garowe Online portal an "attack in progress" at the Vila Rose hotel, popular with members of the Somali Parliament.
