The strike committee urges the LAJ to pay pensions and celebrate weddings in anticipation of continuing the strike

He says that this is how he expresses his "commitment" to "cause the least harm to citizens"

MADRID, 17 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The strike committee has urged the Lawyers of the Administration of Justice (LAJ) to issue the payment of pensions and to celebrate weddings given the "anticipation of the lengthening of the situation of conflict" with the Ministry directed by Pilar Llop and the decision of the body to continue with the indefinite strike that began on January 24 in search of better wages.

In a statement issued this Friday, the strike committee has explained that it adopts this measure "given the damages caused to citizens and other legal operators by abusive minimum services established by the Ministry to obtain the data of the figures, and a catalog of essential services clearly deficient and given the incompetence of the Ministry in not protecting the most vulnerable".

The signatories have recommended to the LAJ that, "in an exercise of responsibility", payment or transfer orders be issued in relation to child support payments and that weddings be held in the Civil Registries.

"In this way, the strike committee expresses its commitment to cause the least harm to citizens, other legal operators and, above all, to citizens as the main recipients of the public service of justice," the three associations calling for the stoppage have underlined.

In line, they have recommended "trying as much as possible, given the circumstances of an indefinite strike, notify professionals of the foreseeable suspensions in order to avoid unnecessary travel."

The statement from the strike committee comes almost nine hours after the meeting that began yesterday afternoon with the Ministry to find a solution to the indefinite strike ended without an agreement.
