The MECCTI employment agency, accused of interviewing flight attendant candidates for Kuwait Airways in underwear during a selection process, has assured that it subcontracted Meiservices Sarl to carry out this procedure, which would have been "ultimately responsible for how it was implemented and executed" the same.

As published by eldiario.es on Monday, several participants agreed that they had to wear their underwear during a selection process carried out on November 5 in Madrid by the company MECCTI for the airline Kuwait Airways.

Through a press release, issued by the Molins Criminal Defense office, the company explains that the "subcontractor RecruitCabinCrew.com of Meiservices Sarl has issued a statement in which it releases MECCTI from all responsibility and in which it affirms that 'its staff has not engaged in any unlawful conduct'".

In it, according to MECCTI, the subcontractor ensures that "however, it will assume all legal responsibility for any action carried out during the selection process and that it will fully cooperate in any investigation, ensuring its commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards in its practices commercial".

"MECCTI does not know or have any type of information in advance of the candidates chosen by the subcontracted company until the final selection has been made by it", has defended the agency, which maintains that "it has started since it has An internal investigation was made aware of the serious accusations made against the company to verify that all of its protocols in its relationship with subcontracted third parties have been followed.

In this context, the agency insists that "it has not intervened in any way or in any phase of the process or in the preparation of the previous phases or in the interviews or in the execution of the selection process." "MECTTI has no responsibility and could not influence in any way how the employees of its subcontractor carried out the selection process," he points out.

Finally, the company ensures that "it does not have in its collaboration agreements with third parties for the selection processes to be carried out any type of guideline that could entail any vexatious or discriminatory practice based on race."

In addition, and as it already did in a statement issued this week, MECTTI has warned that it "reserves the right to take legal action against anyone who may harm the good name and reputation of the company."
