The PP sees the concentration of support for Sánchez in Ferraz as a "failure" and believes that it "complicates" the story of its continuity

"If you were expecting a mass bath, you haven't found it," say the 'popular' after the Government Delegation estimated the number of attendees at 12,500 people.

MADRID, 27 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PP led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo has called this Saturday the concentration of support for Pedro Sánchez a "failure" to demand that he continue to lead the Presidency of the Government since, in his opinion, "if he expected a mass bath to defend his continuity, he has not found it," according to what sources from the national leadership of the PP have told Europa Press. What's more, they consider that "what is happening today complicates the story of his continuity much more" in Moncloa.

The Government delegation has put the number of attendees who came to Ferraz Street at 12,500 people, where the PSOE has turned the meeting of its Federal Committee into a great act of support for Sánchez, who is immersed in an unusual period of reflection to decide whether or not to continue as head of the Executive.

"Pedro, stay," the first vice president of the Government and deputy general secretary of the PSOE, María Jesús Montero, begged him before the leadership of her party. The messages of support have continued as the main leaders of the PSOE have taken the floor. Meanwhile, in the street, thousands of people chanted slogans in favor of the President of the Government: "You are not alone" or "enough is enough."

The 'popular' consider that if the PSOE intended to show that all of Spain was coming out in defense of a democracy committed to Pedro Sánchez, "they have not achieved it," according to PP sources.

"The failure is evident and today's events complicate the story of its continuity much more," said party sources, who believe that "no matter what it does, it has not achieved citizen support."

In 'Genova' they have alluded to the mobilization with buses from different parts of Spain and have stressed that, according to their calculations, 120 buses with 50 seats each would reach the figure of 6,000 people. "It has been a failure," the same sources have abounded.

In this sense, the PP leadership considers that if the PSOE "expected a mass outpouring today to defend its continuity, it has not found it." What's more, they have ironically commented on what happened in the Federal Committee of the PSOE: "The PSOE has launched a new format: the self-help rally," according to what sources from the party have told Europa Press.

For his part, the leader of the PP, who is campaigning in Catalonia in support of his candidate Alejandro Fernández, has stated that "the most serious thing" is that Sánchez, the PSOE and the Government believe they are "unpunished before everyone and everything." . "We are facing an authoritarian tic that we have never seen since Franco," he stated, concluding: "If you want to leave, leave, there is no problem."
