They "outright deny the veracity" of the statements of those who participated in the selection process

MADRID, 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The employment agency accused of interviewing flight attendant candidates for Kuwait Airways in their underwear during a selection process has threatened to "take legal, criminal or civil action against those who have been able to disseminate facts and practices" that they describe as " completely false."

Through a press release, issued by the Molins Criminal Defense office, the company warns that the "defamation" that has been pouring out in recent days "could become a crime of libel and slander that affects well-known the good name and image of the company".

As published by eldiario.es on Monday, several participants agreed that they had to wear their underwear during a selection process carried out on November 5 in Madrid by the company MECCTI for the airline Kuwait Airways.

"The company categorically denies the veracity of the defamatory statements made by those who participated in the selection process, and especially that the interviews took place with humiliating behaviors such as those denounced, completely unrelated to the company's protocols in its recruitment processes", has defended the law firm.

The statement maintains that the candidate referred to as Bianca "in the media, from whom the very serious accusations against the company appear to originate, saw her candidacy rejected after a group practice of her knowledge of English, and did not participate in the subsequent phases of the procedure. of selection".

"As of the date of issuance of this statement, there is no record of any type of criminal, civil or labor complaint against MECCTI or against Meiservices Sarl for the selection processes held in Madrid on that date", he stressed to affirm that, on the other hand, the company did is in a position to offer the testimony of candidates who attended this process in which it is related how it was carried out in strict compliance with the company's protocols".

The office has also referred to the warning issued this Tuesday by the Secretary of State for Labor and Social Economy, Joaquín Pérez Rey, who did not rule out taking this case before the Prosecutor's Office. "We are doing all possible verifications. We will do everything so that this practice is adequately penalized or, even in the event that it has criminal relevance, something that is not in itself ruled out, to send the proceedings to the Prosecutor's Office and that they take action in the matter," he said.

From Molins Criminal Defense they point out that "neither MECCTI nor Meiservices Sarl have received notification or any type of request for information from the Labor Inspectorate, or from any other institution."

Lastly, the statement defends that "MECCTI has carried out personnel selection processes, among other functions, for more than 25 airlines around the world, for 25 years." "Throughout all its years of experience in the recruitment and selection process sector, MECCTI has never received accusations or complaints such as those described in the past," he adds.

In addition, it concludes, "the interviews in Madrid on the indicated date were carried out by the subcontracted company Meiservices Sarl, based in Morocco, not directly by any MECCTI employee, which does not have any affiliate or subsidiary company in Spain".
