Garrigues incorporates Mónica Bolaños and Mireia del Pozo as partners for its teams in Colombia and Spain

Garrigues has incorporated Mónica Bolaños as a partner for the tax area in Bogotá (Colombia) and Mireia del Pozo as a partner in the administrative and constitutional law area in Barcelona, ​​thus strengthening both teams at the firm.

As explained in a statement, both appointments will be submitted to the approval of a forthcoming shareholders' meeting and respond to the firm's strategy of "consolidating its leadership" in business advice from all angles of business law.

Mónica Bolaños has more than seventeen years of experience in Colombia advising local and international companies on corporate taxes, investment structures, financing, and mergers and acquisitions. With a degree in Public Accounting and a master's degree in Economic Sciences from the National University of Colombia, she also has a master's degree from the University of Leiden (Netherlands) and her specialty is international taxation in Colombia and the Andean region.

Currently, she is part of the Colombian chapter of the Executive Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and holds the position of president of the Technical, Accounting and Economic Academic Commission of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law. With her incorporation, she reinforces the capacity of the Garrigues Tax Department to offer global advice.

For her part, Mireia del Pozo graduated in Law from the Pompeu Fabra University and has a professional master's degree in territorial and urban studies from the School of Public Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

His incorporation marks his return to Garrigues, where he began his career and developed a large part of his career, from 1999 to 2018 in the Department of Administrative Law in the Barcelona office. She has more than twenty years of experience in the area of ​​public law and is specialized in the urban and real estate sectors.
