A former Generalitat official denies having received "any type of order" from Camps to contract with 'Gürtel'

He assures that he is "not aware" that the former president gave guidelines on the contracts that are being judged

MADRID, 27 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The former general director of Institutional Promotion Salvadora Ibars has assured this Monday in the trial for the alleged irregularities in the awards to one of the companies of the 'Gürtel' that she never received "any type of order" by the former president of the Generalitat Valencian Francisco Camps to contract with the plot.

Ibars, one of the defendants in this oral hearing, has expressed herself in this way to questions to the defense of Camps himself, who has questioned him about whether he "directly or indirectly received an order or suggestion" to give preferential treatment to Orange Market, one of the companies in the plot, by the former regional leader.

"I already said it the other day: I have never received any kind and no order from anyone and less from Mr. Camps," Ibars assured, who has made it clear that he is "not aware" that the former president gave any instructions regarding the hiring of which the court puts the magnifying glass.

The former director of the Generalitat has alluded to her statement last Wednesday, when she made it clear that she never had "any kind of relationship with Camps". "I have never dispatched anything nor have I had a relationship. I have not been in his office. I have never had a personal or professional relationship. My job was not to relate to him," she clarified then.

Ibars also pointed out that he did know "El Bigotes" but not personally. "He was a person who, as soon as you have him next to him, becomes visible because of the way he has to be. But I have not had any meetings, only with Cándido Herrero," he added.

That same Wednesday, and in statements to the media at the end of the oral hearing, Camps referred to the fact that Ibars said that he did not know him. "The Prosecutor's Office has lied from the beginning, because it has been hearing that since 2009. It couldn't be more obvious. What happened here today has become clear," he lamented.

It should be remembered that the Prosecutor's Office asks to impose two years and six months in prison on Camps as the author of a crime of prevarication and another of fraud against the administration, considering that he actively participated in directing the Fitur 2009 contract in favor of Orange Market .
