Zelensky hopes to recover the occupied territories: "We will return the Ukrainian flag to all cities"

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has been convinced that the Armed Forces of the country will be able to recover the territories occupied by Russia in the framework of the war and thus return the Ukrainian flag "to all the cities" of the country.

"We liberated the north of our country. We are liberating the Kharkov region, we are liberating the entire east and of course we will achieve it. We will return the Ukrainian flag to all our cities," Zelensky said, referring especially to the southern towns, including Crimea.

The Ukrainian leader made a speech this Friday on the occasion of Defenders' Day in which he also stressed the responsibility of the State to free all Ukrainian citizens who are in Russian captivity or who were "deported by the strength".

However, Zelensky has recognized that both tasks are really complicated, but has shown his confidence that the Army will do its part while the Ukrainian population remains united, according to the Ukrinform news agency.

Finally, the president has brought out the fighting spirit of the Ukrainian population, mentioning at this point the different struggles that, he says, have faced different generations throughout history, since the first confrontations against Russia.

"This is the glory of those who liberate, and do not enslave. This is the glory of those who bring peace, and do not destroy it. This is the glory of those who fight, fight for freedom in such a way that they become legends even during his life", has settled.
