Vox appoints the heads of the list to the Parliament of the Canary Islands for Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, La Palma and Tenerife

MADRID, 2 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The National Executive Committee of Vox (CEN) has approved the appointment of the heads of list to the Parliament of the Canary Islands in the elections next May on the lists of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, La Palma and Tenerife.

As party sources have advanced to Europa Press, Nicasio Galván, Vox candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, will be the head of the list for the island of Gran Canaria; while Miguel Felipe Rastrero will lead the one from Fuerteventura; Montserrat González from La Palma; and Paula Jover Linares from Tenerife.

Galván has developed his entire professional career in the banking sector, with a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Navarra and two master's degrees from the MBA Business School of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

He joined Vox in March 2014 and his commitment to the party led him to be the party's provincial president in Las Palmas in two stages: from 2015 to 2016, and from 2019 to the present.

For his part, the candidate for Fuerteventura, Miguel Felipe Rastrero, is a military officer on leave from the Air Force, now a flight commander in a commercial company.

He joined Vox in 2018 "out of responsibility", according to his own account, and commitment to the "Nation and to the serious situation that it is experiencing with the arrival of this government to power".

The La Palma list is headed by Montserrat González Hernández, coordinator of Vox on the island; while Paula Jover Linares, who heads the one in Tenerife, has been secretary of the School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands and head of the Planning, Management and Administration Service in the General Directorate for Child and Family Protection in the Ministry of Social Rights.
