The Women's Barça lives its Joan Gamper against the French Montpellier

MADRID, 22 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

FC Barcelona Women will be officially presented to their fans in a new edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy that they will play this Tuesday (8:00 p.m.) against the French Montpellier Herault in a Johan Cruyff that will hang the 'no tickets' sign.

Jonathan Giráldez's team faces the penultimate of their friendly matches to prepare for the new season that will begin in September and in search of returning to the path of the victory lost in the home run held last week in France.

Barça could not beat the German Bayern Munich (2-1) and later in the fight for third and fourth place they did not go from a draw to a goal against the French Paris Saint-Germain, whom they beat on penalties.

Now, the current runners-up in Europe, who will close their preparation against UDG Tenerife next Saturday, will face a Montpellier team that was fifth in the last edition of the French league and that will serve as a premiere before the fans for new faces such as the of the English Lucy Bronze or the Brazilian Geyse Ferreira, although there will be significant casualties such as those of the injured Aitana Bonmatí, in addition to the well-known Alexia Putellas.

Before the match there will be a series of activities both inside and outside the stadium. Firstly, from 6:30 p.m., there will be face-painting and tattoo artists, among other attractions for the fans, such as posing with the tournament MVP award.

Subsequently, from 7:15 p.m., the individual presentation of the members of the squad will take place at the Johan Cruyff, where a DJ will play music and the players will greet the fans. To finish, both the coach and the captain, Alexia Putellas, will address a few words to the public before the match begins.
