The PSOE says that Ferrovial is leaving because the Ibex is too small for it and that it will pay more taxes in the Netherlands

MADRID, 1 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PSOE spokesman in Congress, Patxi López, defended this Wednesday, before the transfer of Ferrovial's headquarters to the Netherlands, that this company is not leaving the Spanish stock market, but rather says that the Ibex has remained "small", although he defends that he will continue to pay taxes in Spain.

This is how the Socialist leader stated this Wednesday in an interview on Antena 3, collected by Europa Press, about Ferrovial's decision to move its headquarters to the Netherlands and also list in the United States.

"He is going to continue paying in Spain, he is not even leaving the Spanish stock market. What he says is that the Ibex has become too small for him, because the Ibex fluctuates fundamentally based on what the financial entities are, four large banks in this country. And I also want to be on the Dutch stock market and on the American stock market, because that is how they will consider me and what the prospects of my company are, not those of others, and I will continue paying taxes in Spain", has proclaimed Patxi López.

Likewise, the socialist spokesman recalled that Ferrovial already had 90% of the business outside of Spain and 85% of its shareholders were already outside of Spain, although he has denied that the company has left due to taxes: "In Spain the pressure tax is lower than in the rest of the European countries that we want to be like".
