The president of the Russian State Duma, Viacheslav Volodin, stated this Thursday that the president of the United States, Joe Biden, "needs hostilities to continue in Ukraine to stay in power", ahead of the 'midterm' elections that will be held in November 2022.

"He has no other option," Volodin said in a message on his Telegram account, before denouncing that Biden "supported the coup in kyiv" and a "Nazi regime" in the European country. "Now, clinging to power, he plunges the whole world into an armed conflict and an economic crisis," he has criticized him.

Thus, he has argued that "inflation in the United States is reaching records of the last 40 years, while the increase in prices in the European Union (EU) is the highest since there are calculations". Volodin stressed that Biden "needs to maintain the majority of his support" and explained that "otherwise, he could be the subject of an 'impeachment'". "It is unlikely that he will be a candidate in the next presidential election, which he plans to do," she said.
