The PP gives "absolute freedom" to its regional barons to appeal the energy decree to the Constitutional Court

Bravo insists that his party would only support the decree if the Government rectifies and introduces measures that are not "in the short term"

MADRID, 23 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Deputy Secretary of Economy of the PP, Juan Bravo, has indicated this Tuesday that the autonomies governed by governments of the PP, such as the Community of Madrid, have total freedom to present an appeal before the Constitutional Court (TC) against the energy saving decree of the Government if they consider that they invade their powers.

The 'popular', therefore, keep the way clear for the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, so that she appeals to the TC the energy saving plan promoted by the Executive of Pedro Sánchez.

"We have given freedom from the PP so that, if they consider that their powers are being invaded, as some autonomous community sees it, they have absolute freedom to be able to appeal," said the PP leader in statements to TVE collected by Europa Press.

Bravo has pointed out that the executive decree attributes issues that "apparently" are the responsibility of the communities, so "it does not seem very logical" that they are not heard.

Likewise, the economic deputy secretary of the PP has indicated that it seems "illogical" to him that if the energy plan affects the private sector, no negotiations or attempts have been made to reach agreements with the companies.

"If you want to make the best decisions, it seems logical to do it together, that is what other countries have done. If the Government has a commitment to Brussels, the next step would be to talk with the communities, with the private sector and look for formulas to reduce the consumption of the 7 percent committed", he has summoned.

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, assured in an interview with Europa Press that he does not plan to appeal the Executive's energy saving decree before the court of guarantees, but endorses that Ayuso does so due to "invasion" of regional powers.

Facing the vote on Thursday in Congress, Bravo has assured that his party would only support the decree if the Government rectifies and introduces measures that are not "in the short term."
