The Government says that removing Administration headquarters from Madrid will be a job opportunity for officials

MADRID, 5 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government defends that removing the headquarters of the General State Administration from Madrid represents a job opportunity for civil servants and guarantees that their careers will not be harmed by this circumstance.

This is stated by the Executive in response to the concerns expressed by several Vox deputies regarding the Government's commitment to the decentralization of the public sector, which was specified in a decree approved last March.

The Executive emphasizes that the decree that establishes the procedure for determining the physical headquarters of entities belonging to the state institutional public sector determines that "the eventual transfer of public employees derived from the establishment of physical headquarters of entities belonging to the sector state institutional public will not be detrimental to their professional career and will comply with the provisions of the applicable regulations on the matter for each entity".

As underlined in the letter with which he has answered the doubts raised by those of Santiago Abascal, to which Europa Press has had access, the decree also includes support measures for personnel who are transferred in order to "facilitate mobility of these personnel and their families".

Likewise, it points out that within the framework of collective bargaining, the appropriate measures may be adopted so that the possible transfer of public employees is carried out in the most advantageous way possible for them.

According to the Government, the comparison of the presence of headquarters of entities of the General State Administration (AGE) by Autonomous Communities can be carried out following different methodologies: by activity sectors, by type of public entity, by number of public employees, by number total population, etc.

In this context, he explains that the determination of each venue "will be carried out after an analysis of the specific case, thus guaranteeing the greatest possible balance between regions and the reinforcement of the territorial structure".

"The deconcentration procedure seeks to offer greater job opportunities in different locations of the national territory", they emphasize from the Executive.
