The CNMV imposes fines of 135,000 euros for privileged information about Dia

MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has imposed fines of 135,000 euros for very serious infractions related to the use of privileged information in the Dia supermarket chain, as published on Monday by the Official State Gazette (BOE).

Specifically, the supervisory body has imposed a fine of 90,000 euros on David Peña Delgado for carrying out operations in Dia shares on October 5, 10 and 15, 2018, having privileged information about this company.

Likewise, it has also sanctioned him with another 20,000 euros for the communication of privileged information about the company to Manuel Sánchez Sánchez in October 2018.

In addition, the CNMV has imposed another fine of 10,000 euros on the latter for carrying out operations in Dia shares on October 15, 2018, having privileged information about this company.

Finally, the CNMV has sanctioned Tomás Peinado Alcaraz with 15,000 euros for committing a very serious infraction for carrying out operations in Dia shares on October 15, 2018.

The resolution that imposes these sanctions is only final in administrative proceedings, being subject to jurisdictional review by the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the National High Court.
