The Board pays 15.9 million euros of aid to the integrated production of olive groves, rice and fruit trees

MERIDA, June 1 (EUROPE PRESS) -

The Junta de Extremadura has received a total of 15,980,000 euros of aid for the integrated production of olive groves, rice and fruit trees, requested in the 2021/2022 CAP campaign, for a total of 7,229 applicants.

These are agri-environmental aid granted to farmers who benefit from these practices that involve the use of integrated production techniques to fight pests and diseases, control fertilization and phytosanitary products, among other practices.

By sectors, the subsidies granted to the integrated production of olive groves stand out with an amount of 10.7 million euros, entered into 5,594 files committed to their realization in the 2017 and 2019 calls, indicates the Board in a press release.

Another important aid is that of the integrated production of rice, in which 939 applicants have received 3.6 million, as well as the integrated production of stone fruit trees, for which 582 fruit growers have received 1.28 million euros. Finally, 16,200 euros have been allocated in aid for the production of stone seed fruit trees.

With these new revenues, the General Directorate of Agricultural Policy has paid more than 33 million euros corresponding to the agri-environmental aid requested in 2021. Likewise, new payments will continue to be made in the coming months, once the resources in process are resolved. .

The Board values ​​the work carried out by public employees to enable the payment of these aids, before one year has elapsed from the end of the application period.
