Sacyr will distribute a flexible dividend of 0.06 euros on June 21 or one new share for every 39 old ones

MADRID, 30 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Sacyr's board of directors has approved the distribution of a flexible dividend in which its shareholders will be able to choose between receiving 0.066 euros per share in cash on June 21 or one new share for every 39 old ones.

As reported by the company chaired by Manuel Manrique to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), to carry out this operation a capital increase will be carried out for a maximum amount of 16.4 million euros, depending on the final amount of the number of shareholders who choose one or the other option.

The dividend delivered on these same dates charged to the 2020 financial year last year was 0.054 euros gross per share, so this year the payment will be 22% higher, this time charged to the results of 2021.

The calendar published by the company points to June 2 as the last day on which the shares of the company with the right to participate in the dividend will be traded, so that on June 3 they will already be traded as what is known in financial jargon such as 'ex date'.

Thus, on June 13 the deadline to request compensation in cash will end, payment to be made on June 21. For its part, on July 8, the contracting of the new shares resulting from the flexible dividend would begin.

The company delivered the last dividend on February 1, in this case of 0.049 euros in cash or a new title for every 45 old ones. In 2021, the dividend yield was greater than 4.5% and the objective of the strategic plan is to place it at around 5%.
