Real Madrid does its homework before the Clásico

A goal from Militao after three minutes is worth it against Getafe in a placid match for the leader

MADRID, 8 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Real Madrid beat Getafe (0-1) this Saturday in matchday eight of LaLiga Santander held at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum, a placid duel for the Whites, who pass the pressure on to Barça in the fight for leadership before the Clásico.

A goal from Militao after three minutes earned a victory for a Madrid without Benzema, with Modric back and a control football that was enough to recover the taste of victory after the draw against Osasuna. Carlo Ancelotti's men thus add 22 points, three more than a Barça that plays this Sunday against RC Celta.

The first half at the Coliseum was easy for the Whites, especially with Militao's goal after three minutes. Many had not yet reached their seats and Madrid was already leading the scoreboard, with a center with poison from Modric and a decisive shot from the Brazilian against a defense that could have done much more.

The champion was not satisfied, at least in the following minutes, and continued to look up taking advantage of the fact that 'Geta' was touched and misplaced behind. The Croatian returned to the eleven after missing a couple of games due to muscular discomfort and made his team play.

Madrid played easy, with those in blue very involved on the edge of their own area, and the movements upstairs gave a certain sense of danger. Vinicius's crosses did not come to fruition and the match got bogged down, with an option for the locals in a cross by Angileri that Borja Mayoral did not reach in a small area.

Those of Quique Sánchez Flores seemed overwhelmed by a script that was for whites in one way or another. When 'Geta' wanted to stretch, Ancelotti's team punished again, with a penalty on Vinicius that the referee annulled for a previous out-of-bounds. The film almost repeats itself in the resumption.

Madrid had it very clear to score again at the first opportunity, with an internship by 'Vini' that Rodrygo did not finish off well and that Tchouaméni shot against Soria in the rebound. The Azulón team was saved and regained faith in their options with a couple of dangerous arrivals, a shot by Aleñá and another by Duarte.

The derby calmed down again, with the danger that Madrid distilled in any hesitant action by the local defense, such as the ball that fell to Rodrygo, disputed by Valverde, and which did not go up on the scoreboard due to offside. Then it was up to Sánchez Flores to look for something else with the entry of Portu and Munir.

The ball belonged to Ancelotti's men and they defended themselves like that for many minutes, without wanting to force it, probably thinking of an intense schedule. Getafe didn't go crazy on the pressure or go up either, until Quique burned ships with the changes and sent the team looking for the goal in the last five minutes.

The most dangerous thing for those from the south of the capital was a penalty they claimed against Djené, but there was no work for Lunin. Quique's men lose their pace in the table and remain on the verge of the relegation zone, while the whites leave with three points in the lead before a week with the Champions League and Clásico.
