The unions that had reached an agreement with the Government the day before to unblock the main roads of the country in exchange for a reduction in fuel prices have broken what was agreed on Monday and have announced that they will continue to demonstrate.

Representatives of the indigenous region of Ngabe Buglé and peasants had reached an agreement with the Government to freeze the price of a gallon of fuel at 3.27 euros for three months, which could be extended.

The National Alliance for the Rights of the Peoples (Anadepo) has explained that the three groups of protesters have come together to talk with the Government about the cost of fuel, the basic basket and medicines, and have also added as a topic deal with corruption, as reported by 'La Prensa'.

Luis Arturo Sánchez, representative of the union of the National Alliance for the Rights of Peoples (Anadepo) and member of the Association of Educators of Veragüenses (AEVE), explained that the president of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo, will have to be at the new dialogue table. and the Catholic Church will be the mediator and tomorrow they will announce more requirements to reach an agreement.
