Más País wants to close the "crisis" of the TC as soon as possible and accuses the PP of going "too far"

MADRID, 21 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, declared this Wednesday his willingness to close the "crisis" triggered by the pronouncement of the Constitutional Court (TC), which has paralyzed the processing of the amendments that sought to renew the court itself, justifying that the PP, which was the one that filed the appeal, "has gone too far" and has caused a "dangerous" scenario.

Errejón's words come after the PSOE has conveyed to its partners its intention to register a new legislative initiative that includes the spirit of the amendments suspended by the TC.

Más País already registered on Monday a reform of the law that regulates the court that empowers the Executive or the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) to designate members of the body separately if three months after the renewal the reliefs have not been exercised .

In statements to the media in the corridor of Congress, Errejón has indicated that his formation is studying the PSOE proposal and that last night he was able to speak with the Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, but that in " fundamentally" both initiatives are "coincident".

For Errejón, "the least important thing is the signatures" for which he has expressed his support for the PSOE. The important thing, according to the deputy, is to "give a quick and effective response" to "a democratic outrage" and "send a message of calm: respect for popular sovereignty above partisan attempts to hijack the institutions."

The leader of Más País, who has also regretted that important institutions "are in question", has been convinced that the socialist initiative will go ahead, although he has not been able to specify the times, alluding to regulatory issues.
