Meloni's party opens the door to the reform of the Constitution

MADRID, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Francesco Lollobrigida, the current spokesman for the Brothers of Italy parliamentary group, the party of the virtual Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, hinted on Monday that they could promote a reform of the Italian Constitution.

"The Constitution is beautiful, but it is also 70 years old," Lollobrigida told the Italian press after being questioned about the possibility of a constitutional reform.

For Lollobrigida, the Magna Carta includes "critical issues" and he argued during his appearance in Rome that this circumstance has "hindered" some reforms, according to the newspaper 'La Repubblica'.

In addition, the leader of the Brothers of Italy has referred to citizenship income, one of the most recurrent targets of the party's criticism during the electoral campaign.

"The rent has failed resoundingly and must be cancelled, but that does not mean leaving the weak and those who cannot work without support. On the other hand, we must adopt true employment policies", he stated.
