The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, has accused the PP of being "creating noise, tension and distrust" about the energy saving decree law, and precisely this "confusion" generated by the popular is what has motivated call this Monday's meeting between the Government and the autonomous communities.

In statements to the media, Maroto has indicated that it is necessary to guarantee the implementation of the measures included in the decree approved on Monday, which come into force on Wednesday at 00:00, and that they try to comply with the saving recommendation energy of the European Union.

Maroto has pointed out that the industry, commerce and tourism sectors have told him that these are "sensible and easy to apply" measures, emphasizing that mistrust has been created by the PP leaders. "They criticize some things that seem not to have been read to them," said the minister.

It has been the "noise and confusion of the PP that have motivated the meeting this Monday" between the Government and the autonomous communities, Maroto stressed, stressing that the appointment will try to clarify the norm, which "is to be fulfilled" , and guarantee the correct application by public administrations, which must be an "example" for the private sector and families. The minister added that there are countries in the European Union that are taking measures "even more drastic than Spain" and has argued that the problems "could be greater in the future if savings are not made now", which is why the Government has anticipated by taking "sensible" measures and asking for "responsibility first to the administrations and then to the private sector".

Maroto has also stressed that the decree law includes flexibility in the application of different measures that meet the demands that have been made since its approval.

On the other hand, the Minister of Industry has highlighted that Spain is at the forefront of Europe in terms of renewable energy, which is why the necessary saving is only 7%, instead of 15% as in other neighboring countries .
